PR015-243901-W01 Use of Computational Pipeline Monitoring for Gas Pipeline Leak Detection

Oct 8, 2025

This webinar explores the application and integration of computational pipeline monitoring (CPM) technology in gas transmission pipelines, a domain where its use is not yet widespread. The primary objectives of this research include assessing the current state-of-the-art in CPM technology for gas pipelines and identifying best practices for its implementation on previously unmonitored segments. CPM technologies use real-time SCADA data to detect anomalies indicative of leaks, with a focus on enhancing leak detection accuracy amidst challenges presented by gas compressibility and transient flow conditions
