Abstract
In Phase 1 of this project, a complete catalog of existing launching and receiving systems was created and experience feedback from a broad industry group was gathered. The majority of the hazards identified from the Phase 1 feedback were related to the installation, operation, and environmental aspects of subsea pig launching/receiving activities. This document presents project Phase 3, which addresses the most commonly encountered hazards of these three areas by developing guidelines and best practices and by identifying new concepts to further improve subsea launching/receiving safety and reliability.
