Abstract
The objective of this effort was to develop a comprehensive design guide for the engineering and system design of pipeline risers intended for use at the design engineer level. This manual was prepared for the engineering and design for the following riser types: Conventional risers J-tube risers Reverse J-tube risers Bending Shoe risers Barefoot risers Catenary risers Buoyed risers Tensioned risers The guide contains riser system descriptions and design considerations related to installation and to operating and environmental considerations. The range of parameters for which this design and application guide has been prepared: Pipeline Size – Up to 24-inch outside diameter Water Depth – From 750 Feet to 2,500 Feet Platform Types – Fixed, Compliant, Moored
