L51441 Critical Evaluation of Multiphase Pipeline Calculation Methods
Abstract
A study has been carried out to evaluate the accuracy of various methods that are used to calculate pressure drop and liquid holdup for multiphase gas-liquid pipelines. A group of methods consisting of various combinations of liquid holdup and friction loss correlations from the literature was used to predict the performance of several pipelines for which measured data were available. The basic set of methods selected includes most of those that are commonly used in the oil and gas industry.
