This report contains handout material for the Seminar on Blasting Effects on Pipelines presented by the Pipeline Research Committee at San Antonio, Texas, October 26-28, 1981. Topics covered include: experiments and ground motion equations, pipe stresses, safety factors, sensitivity analyses of stress equations, example problems, computer simulations, and discussions of other blasting studies (pipeline near a free surface, effects of trenches, and two-media test results and analysis).
