Membership Levels for Every Need
PRCI offers various levels and types of membership depending on the company type, desired involvement, and objectives. Read more about the different levels below.
Pipeline Members
Full voting membership in PRCI is available to companies that operate natural gas transmission and liquid pipelines, such as those transporting crude oil and petroleum products. These members are represented on the Executive Assembly, where they have the authority to vote on governance matters. Member companies may have as many representatives as they wish participate on PRCI Technical Committees. These representatives can serve on Project Teams and have immediate access to all PRCI research for application to their company’s pipelines and facilities. Members can also allocate funding to specific research programs and are welcome to attend and participate in all open PRCI meetings. Research ideas may be nominated by anyone for consideration by the appropriate Technical Committee.
Associate Members
Associate membership is available to companies that do not operate pipelines, but have a commitment to the energy pipeline industry and capabilities in technology transfer, particularly commercialization. Associate Members’ capabilities enable PRCI research to be deployed in the industry and the marketplace. This membership includes access to all Technical Committees.
Technical Program Associate Members
Technical Program Associate membership in PRCI offers several valuable benefits. Members can join one or more Technical Committees, giving them the ability to allocate funds to programs and projects included in the annual research ballot for their chosen committee(s). They are eligible to serve on Project Teams established within their committee(s), and gain immediate access to all PRCI research developed under that Technical Committee. Additionally, Technical Program Associates may attend and participate in all open meetings related to their committee(s), ensuring active involvement in ongoing research and collaboration.
Pipeline Industry Organization members
Pipeline Industry Organization membership is available to non-profit trade associations, charitable/educational organizations, not themselves directly involved in the pipeline industry but who support the mission of PRCI, whose membership includes companies eligible for membership in PRCI as Pipeline Operating Company Members, in whole or in part.
Emerging Fuels Institute Member
Emerging Fuels Institute members receive a comprehensive set of benefits that support active involvement and leadership within the institute. They participate in all projects, products, and intellectual property developed by the Emerging Fuels Institute and have a seat on the Steering Committee, as well as related ad hoc committees. Members can take on leadership roles within project teams, gain access to third-party research projects, and are recognized as sponsors of all institute publications.
