Safe Inspection Repair for Dent and Gouge Damage

This report addresses the important safety issue of the appropriate level of pressure reduction for operating pipelines when making repairs in the field with only in-line inspection data to rely on.

Key Results

This report looks closely at the key factors to consider regarding pressure reductions when making decisions for repair to pipelines, such as class locations and modes of damage. The report includes a tiered assessment approach, including qualitative assessments (Level 1) and more detailed and involved assessments that could result in a lower pressure reduction based on the more detailed level of evaluation (Level 2).  The Final Report is available for members on PRIME.
