PRCI Elects New Chair and Executive Committee

The Board of Directors of Pipeline Research Council International, Inc., (PRCI), elected Art Meyer, Senior Vice President, Major Project Execution with Enbridge Pipelines as Chair at its Annual General Meeting. He replaces Lee Stewart, Senior Vice President, Gas Operations with Southern California Gas Company who will continue on the Executive Committee as Past Chair. Peter Roberts, Gas Network Investment Manager for U.K. based National Grid, was elected Vice Chair.

Mr. Meyer has been a PRCI Board member for four years, serving the last two as Vice Chair and as a member of the Executive Committee. He is a member of the Enbridge Corporate Leadership Team and oversees engineering, procurement and construction for the company’s $9 billion portfolio of liquids pipelines projects. In addition, he serves on the Boards of the Canadian Energy Pipeline Association, the International Pipeline Conference Foundation and is a Past President of the Alberta Chamber of Resources. He was also Chair of the 6th biannual International Pipeline Conference.

“I look forward to leading an organization that is vital to the safe design, construction and operation of pipeline systems world wide” said Art Meyer. “Thanks to the efforts of our members, who span four continents, PRCI is well positioned to develop and deploy the essential pipeline research on which our industry, governments and public relies.”

The Board completed PRCI’s leadership team by filling seats on its nine-member Executive Committee, comprised of:

  • Arthur D. Meyer, Enbridge Pipelines – Chair
  • Peter J. Roberts, National Grid – Vice Chair
  • Lee M. Stewart, Southern California Gas Company – Past Chair
  • T. Scott Collier, Columbia Gas Transmission
  • Eric A. Gustafson, Buckeye Partners
  • Craig M. Linn, Williams Gas Pipeline
  • Paul F. MacGregor, TransCanada PipeLines
  • Jeffrey B. Schulze, Spectra Energy Transmission
  • Jeffrey A. Wenzell, Explorer Pipeline Company

PRCI President George W. Tenley, Jr., in noting that the strength of PRCI lies in the voluntary contributions of its 53 members, said “Nothing is more important to the success of PRCI than the commitment the members of the executive leadership team make to the achievement of our mission. I am pleased and honored to be working with the high caliber of industry leadership exemplified by PRCI’s Board and its Executive Committee.”
