PHMSA Approves ABD-1 Contract Modification
PRCI submitted an increased cost and schedule modification request to PHMSA for ABD-1 DOT Project DTPH56-06-T000014 “Consolidated Research & Development Program on Validation & Documentation of Tensile Strain Limit Design Models for Pipelines.” PHMSA approved the request in January 2009 that increased the total project value to $2.8M and extended the completion date to year end 2009. The project scope was expanded to include more curved wide plate, unloading compliance and ring expansion testing and full scale post test – flaw examination. The project is progressing and is on schedule to meet the target completion date.
