Gas Measurement Standards Issued Based on PRCI Results

A number of gas measurement standards have been issued, revised or published recently that utilize the results of the PRCI Measurement R&D program to support their technical basis. These standards include:

  • AGA Report 9 – “Measurement of Gas by Ultrasonic Meters”
  • Revision of API 14.3 “Measurement of Hydrocarbon Fluids by Orifice Meter”
  • Revision of AGA Report 4A – “Fuel Gas Specifications and contract quality clauses”
  • Revision of AGA Report 5 – “Natural Gas Heating Value and Energy Measurement Methods”
  • ISO 17089 – Draft Ultrasonic Meter Standard is in Final Draft form
